I have to admit that I rather liked this.
Brilliant sums this up in more ways than one. It was visually stunning with brilliant vibrant colours - I've never seen such a colourful film. It was also a breath of fresh air with its cartoonesque acting, visuals and story. The 3D worked well even with the ubiquitous floaty things. Why do they have to have them in every single film? Must be a cheap effect.
Lots of funny lines - the best of which was "I can never use a black light in my place - it would look like a Jackson Pollock painting!" Ewww!
Loved the raccoon. Never spotted he was Bradley Cooper. How did he squeeze into that wee suit? Lol.

8/10

Btw this is the second recent Marvel movie with no post credit trailer. Come on Marvel. If you want us fans to bother sitting through so many credits at least give us something to see. Otherwise your fan base may just vote with their feet.
Maybe we should flag up to each other - wait or don't wait?

"no post credit trailer"

there is...but at disney's instance it has not been shown in the preview screenings....you are either going to have to p*y to see it, or wait 2 weeks and watch it on youtube.

ps, at my screening, the staff kindly informed us all of this before the film started

pps link to post credit scene....wow...not sure that it is not a piss take !!!

I waited for the end credit trailer as well, couldnt believe there was none. When I got home my son was surprised by this as he said he had already seen it on youtube and showed me, very short trailer and already been taken down on youtube.

Loved it - light years better than rubbish like Thor 2, Avengers or Captain America 2.

Finally a Marvel film that genuinely looks good - adored the beautiful colours throughout the film.

That truly sucks! How petty - actually removing the trailer from the preview screening.
They even kept the lights down until the bitter end in Edinburgh, and half the cinema stayed waiting.
Poor form indeed.

Alos in Edinburgh the begining of the film seemed to be missing too. No Certificate - just straight into the Prologue.

Saw this in a busy Cineworld this evening. As others have said, this was definitely a brighter film than many others and I loved the raccoon character . . . I could watch a whole film just about him! Despite really enjoying the film, I did find it a little long and found my interest dipped a little in the middle. It was strange to watch a film about Marvel characters and not know any of the characters though I'm sure the next film will see them becoming even more familiar!
Marks 7.5/10
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Alright film. Starts off so well, feels like it has personality, but soon forms into the Marvel movie mode. Everything fun is ignored for the sake of tedious plot and dull bad guys.
Not enough time spent with the team just hanging out, which is a shame, as they are all clearly well defined to the filmmakers, but barely make impact to the audience. I want scenes just chilling between Quill and Drax.
6/10
Spot on comments. It's entertaining and funny, but all the fighting and space battles felt very generic, eapecially in the 2nd half.

Also v poor not to include the post credits scene for previews. Are we expected to go back and p*y to see the last 30 seconds?! I'll certainly mention that in my Sun feedback 7/10
