Run All Night

#1 Post by Beate » Mon Mar 09, 2015 9:58 pm

Typical shoot'em up fare. Should have been titled "Kill All Night". Car chases, crashes, gun fights. Nearly no plot, very high body count. Will Liam Neeson ever make a good film again? Even OH nodded off.

Islington very full tonight, nice to see quite a few FMUKers.

I enjoyed this edge of seat stuff, an adrenaline ride! Typical Liam Neeson. It's Neeson's niche and he's good at it, and, I think it works. A hitman with a moral cause :-)

Nice to see so many FMUKers, Vue Apollo Piccadilly was also full.

I really enjoyed this film! My daughter, not so much; she said it was too much like a lot of Liam Neeson's films!

I agree with Beate. Liam Neeson is being wasted in very bad films.

And why oh why did they take those little girls down to the pond to feed the ducks at such a time??????

I really had low expectations as the last few Liam Neeson films that we've seen including Taken 3 were awful, however I was surprised as to how much I enjoyed this film.
Yes there were a few holes but overall it didn't bother me so much, since from beginning to end it kept the suspense for me and did not seem to be the 114 minutes that it was.
The cast were excellent-, in particular Ed Harris, Vincent D'Onofrio and Common (whose was interesting as a baddy).

My wife and I went to see run all night yesterday(Monday) in Leeds , cinema wasn't full and it was only
A small room , how many more cinemas are like this? .
Anyway I thought the film was enjoyable a typical Liam film like the ones he has been doing lately
Sit back and enjoy type of thriller . He still hasn't lost any of the skills he acquired in recent other films . 7/10

Enjoyed the film, I would give it 8/10. Plenty of violence, blood, guns & car chases. The characters of the film were great, a bad guy trying to do good. Worth a watch. A woman in our cinema kept screaming every time something made her jump, she was making every one jump with her screaming.

I thought this was a really entertaining film. Great action sequences - but it's more than just an action film, it's got a bit of heart too as it deals with family and old friendships and where loyalties lie. Plus, this character isn't just Brian Mills (Taken) by another name - where Mills fights in a slick highly trained manner, this character is a lot more scrappy and rough-around-the-edges as he's essentially a bit of a loser. Interesting character though. Go and see it!
