I definitely came across several people yesterday who saw what they wanted and went for it!

And these are the very ones who have sat in the first few seats of the aisle (which is fair enough if they were there first and specifically wish to sit there) but should then expect to have people needing to get passed them.
Worse still are those who decide they need to leave during a film, don't excuse themselves and just attempt to walk through you before you've even become aware of them in the dark let alone had a chance to move your legs for them.

Should one stand up to allow someone to pass by? Or attempt to retract ones legs to allow a path? And what of bags, coats (and even a small rucksack that I had no choice but to have with me on one occasion)? It is hard enough to stow these under ones seat without then having to clear a path for a latecomer.
I definitely need to move things when I'm seated on the outside seat of a bus and it's pretty damn obvious I'm disabled but people expect me to a) notice them and b) move at the speed of light so they can get off at the correct stop!

As for the cinema, I try to stow things under my seat but it isn't always possible yet when I ask them to hold on so I can move the object they get shirty! I yearn for some old-fashioned manners.

Today at the Vue Islington was a case in point again. Ejwrank and I both had to tell off the same woman in front of us who didn't put her phone away when the film started. She mouthed off at me but luckily I couldn't hear what she said. I really don't understand why people get so irritated for being in the wrong!

To our left sat a couple continuously eating crisps noisily then slurping from a 2L water bottle. Look, if you are hungry, get a tuna and cucumber sandwich from Pret and eat that quietly. But don't crunch your way through a family pack of Ready Salted then gulp down water like it's running dry! OH was so distracted by this that he kept looking at the woman next to him then leant over and whispered to me about her. I had a hard time turning his head towards the film!

I think there were a few morons further down on our right as well as I heard noise and saw a phone light up now and then, but nothing I could do about that.

I hope ejwrank got out without being accosted by phone woman this time!

I had to stage whisper to a lady in the row in front of me in Glasgow to put her phone off as she sat texting. She didn't seem to know where the voice had come from but the gentleman beside her did and he put her phone off! No other guilty folk thank goodness!

Ah, I'd forgive a snorer. It's the conscious ones making noise that I don't like! :p

I've been known to snore a little when I nod off but it usually wakes me.

Mind you, I have tried to gently shake a man before who was snoring very loudly but he was in such a deep sleep that I had to shake his arm really hard. He just opened his eyes, started watching the film again then went back to sleep shortly afterwards!
