I know you were laughing but I was talking about the ladies right up at the back sitting at our side of the cinema who roared with laughter all the time - even at bits I didn't find that funny.

Iloveholidays - love the name and the avatar is just great! 8-) Haven't seen you on "Introduce yourself" - you should do and we can find out more about you - and these holidays!!!

I must have a different sense of humour to other people on here because i didnt find it funny at all.
I believe that some people will laugh at anything just because it was advertised as a comedy. it was totally unfunny, predictable and I couldnt wait for it to end
If I had been at the end of the aisle I would have legged it

A mediocre 5/10

I must share my sense of humour with SimonV as I thought it was pretty dire.

At one point when the two brothers and the wife were standing talking in front of the coffin I felt like I was watching an amateur dramatics stage play, the acting was so wooden (it wasn't wooden all the way through).

I thought there was some serious miscasting although like others James Marsden was excellent and without him I may have joined the 2 ladies that walked out in Edinburgh 30 minutes in.

4/10 from me and that's only becuase James Marsden made me laugh.

I agree with the above..
Im not sure what was the most unpleasant, the film or the woman behind filling her fat face with half a dozen packets of noisy crisps, laughing all the way through the film and kicking my seat in the process.

4/10

Can't rate the entire movie as I left 45 minutes in! (I would give 4/10 on the part I saw)
I did not find it funny at all and was very annoyed with peolple laughing very loud... maybe I am missing something!

Had very low expectations from what I'd heard, but quite enjoyed it.

Laughed more than I thought I would, mostly towards the end of the film when the farce really got turned up a notch.

Enjoyed James Marsden, Danny Glover and Tracey Morgan's performances, especially Glover's nod toward Lethal Weapon. Found Tracey Morgan funny, as I usually do, but he's defintely far better in 30 Rock - most probably due to the superior writing.

Did find the extreme levels of laughter coming from the back of the cinema very distracting though. I know its a comedy, but they were laughing at absolutely everything, for a minute I thought the film might have a laughter track.

Overall, enjoyable 90minutes, but wouldn't recommend it to someone.

Watched this at Odeon West End. I'd not previously been to this cinema before, I must say it was very nice... the stage in front of the screen came in handy as the film was (after an intro from Kiss FM's Ricky & Melvin) introduced by none other than Chris Rock himself!!! He even posed for some pictures!

As for the film, it was decent enough, slow in places but when the laughs came, boy did the cinema go wild... and the toilet scene from the trailer - DAMN!!!

Unlike the very dull Hot Tub Time Machine, this didn't rely on gross-out humour.

Chris Rock & Martin Lawrence were decent, but Danny Glover & the drugged up fiancé/boyfriend (don't know his name) stole the show.

A respectful 7/10

I woke up this morning having had a bad dream that I was in fact a scrumpled up brown paper bag covered in vinegar (no I've no idea what goes on in my head either) and I've ended my day again questioning my sanity, cos I cannot fathom out how I just don't seem to get what people found amusing or watchable about this film. I'm going to write to the trades description bloke cos there's no way on earth that this film can pass itself off as a comedy, I only laughed once and that was at my mate who got her foot stuck under the chair, fell over and ended up hanging by her breasts off the chair in front. To be honest I didn't hear many people laughing at tonight's film well certainly not where I was sat, the plot was oh so boring and predictable you could see it coming a mile off uh-oh he's accidentally dropped the bottle and hmmmn I wonder what'll happen to the coffin, even I could suss these out and I'll confess I'm no miss marple. And if this remake is deemed by some to be better than the first version then deary me, I pity anyone who sat through that. Oh please great god of celluloid make me a good film once in a while. 1/10 and that's generous!

I wish I saw this at Odeon West End, I may have appreciated the whole experience more with the VIP introductions. Were those tickets available through Show Film First or another provider don_datta?

Quite disappointed with it, I thought I would find it much funnier than I did. Had its odd moments but it did feel quite laboured. With a cast like that, I thought I would be in hysterics. 6/10 from me.
