The Beards

Camden Dingwalls - TONIGHT

http://www.showfilmfirst.com/pin/152280

It’s been a hell of a decade for Australia’s favourite beard-themed propaganda rock band, and to celebrate, The Beards will be embarking on an anniversary tour of Europe this September with shows all over the UK. The ‘Ten Long Years, One Long Beard’ Anniversary Tour will see the band playing a selection of their favourite beard-related anthems in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol and Southampton. It will be the group’s fourth headlining tour of the UK in just three years.

Since forming in 2005 with the intention of starting a worldwide beard revolution, The Beards have gone on to release four albums of original songs about beards; play sold out shows throughout Europe, Australia and North America; receive two ARIA Award nominations; support the likes of KISS and Motley Crew; attract over five million views on their Youtube channel and start a worldwide beard revolution. The band have gained a cult following around the world with crowd favourites like ‘If Your Dad Doesn’t Have a Beard You’ve Got Two Mums’, ‘You Should Consider Having Sex with a Bearded Man’ and ‘No Beard No Good’.

“Beards have seen an overwhelming global resurgence over the last ten years.” Explains bassist Nathaniel Beard. “I think it’s fair to say that we’ve played an instrumental role in that – both literally and figuratively.”

To mark this milestone and to coincide with the commencement of the tour, The Beards will be releasing a ten year anniversary double album, consisting of a ‘best of’ compilation, a live album recorded at Sydney’s iconic Metro Theatre, and a brand new single.
