It was the best of weeks, it was the worst of weeks!

The Best:
Went out for some fantastic meals this week including the most magnificent and memorable Eat all you can, mix and match buffet affair comprising a traditional carvery, salad bar, indian and chinese food. o/

The Worst:
I put on four pounds  :Embarrassed:

It seems you can't have your cake and eat it and stay slim.

Will be more focused this week!! ;)

What a shame, Preston! Mind you, you have done very, very well so I don't blame you for going 'off the rails' for a bit!! Make sure you try your hardest to get back on track; you don't want to ruin all the hard work you've done so far! Good Luck, Matey!!

Don't be hard on yourself Preston1990 you have been amazing all year o/
Sorry to hear that you are struggling with your body clock Clarebarr. I too have been struggling with the diet but mine is due to no effort whatsoever and not getting my act together on the exercise or eating front  I have booked a 3 day trip to Munich in 5 weeks time so need to be in a healthier position as there is no way that I am going to be able to get up the "rugged hill" to see https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Neusc ... CVwQsAQIHA
and there is no way on earth that I am going to go all that way and not actually be able to get up there. I am actually seriously worried that I will be holding my friend back as she is super fit and only 29  The time in Munich will be fine but the day up the hills will be the issue. Serious nagging will be required as I need a kick.

It will be great to have you back Clare - it's been kinda lonely round here of late!! January is a great time to start a new venture and to set ourselves new challenges. o/

What a great looking trip Diane and what a great incentive to shed a few :p pounds and increase your fitness levels o/

:shifty: As ever, Tubby ;) , being a true friend, I will endeavour to do whatever I can to assist you on that front  :rofl2:

Happy to report the loss of 2 pounds this week o/ but that still does not claw back all of last week's 4 pounds gain :(

The problem is the arrival in the Preston household of Xmas type goodies, which I appear unable to resist. A Terry's Chocolate Orange and a tube of Pringles each have a calorific value of around 1000 cals - yet I ate both in one sitting, one evening last week. :wall:

Perhaps I'm in need of some serious nagging and a kick too

Do you think we should call a hiatus or maybe a (pretentious) 'pause' in weight watching so everyone can enjoy Christmas and the New Year?

Preston -- I will however nag you about eating an entire tube of Pringles. Personally I think they taste very odd/yucky and are full of the most awful additives and I'm just talking the plain ones and I dread to think what's lurking in the flavoured ones. The idea that crisps should be an identical size so they fit in a tube is weird plus we had a very unfortunate incident in the car with son when he was a little lad and granny (my mother-in-law) gave him too many of these during a Sunday visit -- I leave it to your imagination but it has stayed with me for 20+ years and I hope it may at least turn you against Pringles which would be a good thing and shall be my Xmas present to you! I do wish to commend you on that 2 pound loss earlier though which was certainly right back on track until the Pringle/Terry's lapse.

Diane has so much to do and so much to think about that she has a pass from me on dieting at the moment. She should relax a bit if that is possible and come back in the New Year and fight the good fight with ClareBarr. Jojojoanne and I will be around for moral support if anyone needs it.
