Right, now, we've got 5 weeks to go, some peeps have their train tickets already but we still haven't got a venue agreed. What's going on?

We have 23 saying that they will be going but only 13 on the list. Are we still going for Greenwich? The Sky Gardens can only be booked 3 weeks in advance so if anyone wants to go please let me know. Shall we have the meet up say 1-3pmish then plenty of time for us tourists to do a bit of sight seeing. Out of interest how many if any do want to sight see? The ones who want to be tourists what time does everyone's train arrive? I seriously won't be offended if no one is interested in having a joint look around as I can easily amuse myself for the day before and after the meet up.
As you say Beate we need to get the show on the road.

Please do not be alarmed Beate. I have been doing some research. I just need to know numbers to book, and all will be revealed.

It's proving difficult to make any enquiries/bookings, as the first thing I am asked is how many is it for!

So please, please if you have voted and are interested to come, let us know. If you have voted and for whatever reason cannot make it now, just say so too (you can pm to remain anonymous if you wish!)

I have found a good deal for £10.95 per person for a finger buffet lunch party:

Selection of freshly made sandwiches
Garlic dough balls with salsa
Plump whole-tail scampi and tartare sauce
Pigs in Blankets
Southern fried chicken fillets with chilli jam
Hand-battered onion rings and sour cream
Mini chicken and bacon pies and mini steak pies
with pale ale chutney
Selection of crudités with houmous (V)
Chunky skin on chips

Please can everyone participating let me know if they want to be included in this buffet?

The venue will be somewhere around Monument, as Greenwich is too far for everyone, if they just want a meet up. Also it is near Sky Garden and Tower Gateway DLR, if people still want to go to Greenwich! I hope this will help you to decide whether to come or not.

Have not booked yet, as waiting for numbers.

Thanks!

That's fine and I'm in, but if people still want to go to Greenwich, they are better served going there from Bank which is a very short walk from Monument, and not Tower Gateway, as from there you won't have to change trains at Westferry.

Thanks Beate, good tip! It's swings and roundabouts though, walk to Bank (which is a nightmare to navigate to the DLR platform) or walk to Tower Gateway and jump on the DLR, as changing trains at Westferry is no hard deal, it is on the same platform! Your choice! o/

I'm up for the tourist thing! Even though we've been to London a few times, I'm sure there's loads still to see(and a good excuse to hang out with you guys!) We get there on Friday evening, I'm hoping to see Les Mis on friday night...if I can blooming afford it! Free to meet up before the actual meet too...canny wait!! o/
