Well, I thought that it was quite mind-blowing, the special effects, tons of action, and seeing it all on an IMAX screen contributes to a very enjoyable film. Great fun. Good summer blockbuster. I kept confusing Jai Courtney with Tom Hardy though. Does anyone else think they look quite similar? 8/10

I don't think they look alike. But I did read someone refer to one of the actors as "fake Tom Hardy". Could it be Jai they were referring to?

Just as well Tom had to drop out then or you would have had trouble telling Col Flag and Capt Boomerang apart ;)

Saw this this afternoon as it was cold and wet and I was bored!
Enjoyed it. It's silly but enough of a story to be quite entertaining. Not a fan of the new Joker though.....

Thought I should expand on this. Whilst I understand this is a braindead superhero/villain movie, some effort to lift the plot higher than a 90s John Claude Van Damme movie would be appreciated. But -

1. The plot at times was inexplicable. Wallers motivations for doing insane acts were often simply ignored. WTF? Too many WTF moments simply delineate your desire to follow the plot.
2. The bad guys were easier to kill than scattering skittles (the sweets not the ones in bowling alleys), with their threat not once outlined.
3.There is no reason for this to get an imax screening, except for the 2 or 3 minutes of ghostbustering at the end.
4. Deadshot or whoever was basically just will smith, who made no attempt to play his character. Katana and Croc lacked any kind of character buildup, and only worked on a self-parody kind of level. "Fireman" can turn into an African fireGod for some unmentioned reason at the end?? This is actually several reasons, but I didn't want to make too long a list.
5. Endless peddling of female model's bodies, which are not really attractive to me (yuk skinny and angular faces)

On plus side, Harley was fun though shorn almost completely of her NY accent. I don't understand why this was the case, since Robbie was ok doing the accent in cartoon voice-overs from what I am told. Shame because a lot of detail was devoted to her character - this could easily have been called Harley Quinn:Origins.

The chief baddie was alright too, quite spookily matching dubbed voice to that weird kali-like dancing goddess. But ruined with being totally dumbass at the end.

its a bit better in imax, but still a bad movie.

2 stars norm screen, 3 stars imax.

I think it is the similarities of the characters they play, all muscle and not much talk! LOL

I thought this movie was just a mess. The plot was in cohesive and had too many holes in it for me. I thought it was funny at times though but I just wish it had been done better because I was really anticipating this movie. I'd give it 2/5.
