Death at a Funeral
Re: Death at a funeral
Having not seen or heard of the original I thought this was nothing special but I did laugh in a few places (even though I knew the jokes were very silly) - mostly down to Chris Rock and James Marsdens performances. There were times when I cringed - e.g. the toilet scene - I could not look it actually made me feel a bit sick but there were a few places that made me laugh. I don't think I would advise any of my friends to p*y to see it but it was funnier in places then I expected it to be. 6/10 from me.

This was my first film as I am a recent member. Although I did laugh a bit in places it was not as good as I thought it wa going to be. I would agree with some of the comments above particularly about Danny Glover, I feel it has not done much for his image.
Lets hop my next film is better.

I might have to go and rent the original and compare!
Re: Death at a funeral
I wasnt overly impressed with this film, it seemed to trickle along, never seemed to get into full flow. It was ok for a free film but i think i would have been disappointed had i pa*d to see this film. I think the funniest part was the drugs that were accidentally getting passed around....but it seemed to be stealing the idea from Bad Boys when Martin Lawrence(coincidence?) accidentally pops pills and has to go to the top official policemans house and starts talking to the fish and drinking from the flower Vase. I think its a bit of a shame that the funniest part and the main part of the film was taken from another great movie, both of which featured Martin lawrence. With such a great cast I did expect more. I'd give it 5/10

Re: Death at a funeral
Thought this film was a bit slow and yes there were a few funny bits but for me it didn’t seem to pick up until the last half hour or so and then i couldn’t stop laughing.
