hey all, i need your help!
im planning on going to Las Vegas for my birthday in October and i was wondering if anyone has been before and can let me know any useful hints and tips on best places to go and stay.
Also please let me know where i can get cheap flights and hotel deals

I love Vegas, I’m jealous I’ve jotted a few things below, I hope it helps.

We flew with Virgin, the flights aren’t the cheapest, but they were at better times for us than the BA flights. I think Expedia and Last Minute often have deals on flights/hotels. There are also some American sites with deals on, they also have offers on trips and shows to see as well.

Shows – there’s so many depending on what type of thing you like.
Cirque De Soliel - I’ve seen Love (based on Beatles songs) and O (water themed), I loved both of them, there’re so clever. I saw KA, but wasn’t keen on that.
Donny and Marie Osmond – my favourite, there’re so funny and their voices were amazing.
Barry Manilow – good, but he looked quite old and seemed to struggle a little.
Chippendales – cheesy but fun.
Magic Show – Rick Thomas (he does amazing illusions with Tigers), David Copperfield (really clever, he involves the audience)

Shopping – there’s 2 outlet centres, 1 north of the strip and 1 south of the strip, they were ok, but the exchange rate didn’t make it any cheaper than home at the moment. Planet Hollywood has the Miracle Mile shops, there’s a good selection of shops, and if you like Make Up/Cosmetics go to Sephora in the Miracle Mile shops its like heaven!!! There’s also the Fashion Show Mall on the strip, its got Macys, Neimen Marcus etc..

There’s a monorail that runs up and down the strip, it’s a good way to get round and see all the hotels, we b*ght a 5 day pass, which is much cheaper than b*ying it per trip.

We stayed at the MGM Signature, not the same as the regular green MGM, and it was divine, we got a deal and got a suite and cheap flights! Can't remember where from though sorry!

Yipppeee... 4 Weeks tomorrow an im off to Dubai for 8 days... booked up to go swimming with Dolphins at the Atlantis as well as the waterpark etc.... Cant wait for heat, constant sunshine and some good old R&R with a bit of shopping and maybe ski-ing mixed in

travelocity.co.uk do good deals on flights as well milkchocmonkey. they're a search engine for flights but can be helpful in figuring out which airlines to check out.

haven't been in october steverich but i think you can safely assume that the weather would be lovely at that time of year. have been several times in may and june and it can get very hot.

I always try moneysupermarket.com first and whatever they throw up, I then check the airlines' website direct too. Or try www.statravel.co.uk/ for the under 26's travel.

If you're not fussed about having a package check out hotels using hotels.com they usually hae reasonable rates for the luxury hotels and often have deals such as four nights for price of three etc. One year we got rooms at the Bellagio for less than £80 per night!
