Christmas
Re: Christmas
we normally put our tree and decs up 1st Dec or nearest weekend. Don't know why but its been like that as long as i remember.
We take them down 6th jan but if any are left up after stays up for the rest of the year! we have 1 up from last year... It was over the babies crib.
Need to go b*y a new tree would love a real one, maybe when the girls are older.
Xmas is coming too soon this year!

Re: Christmas
Saw my first house with lights and decorations outside on Sunday evening - it brightened up a very snowy drive. I usually go for a drive round the houses in the week before Christmas to admire all the flashing reindeers and santas people have spent so much time, money and effort on, stopping as often as I can to admire their work... Is this very sad?

I'm a big believer in books as Christmas presents - I find it's usually quite easy to find something to suit the recipient and hopefully they'll provide hours of pleasure.

I once went hiking with M. C. Escher. It was uphill all the way there and uphill all the way back.

Thanks raineylb.raineylb wrote:This might be useful to anyone with children, I just made free personalised video messages from santa for the kids, they are great it includes santa actually saying their name, you can specify if they have been good at something or bad for that matter and santa tells them to try and improve... I selected that my son needs to try harder to keep his room tidy!! You can include photo's of special events through the year which appear in Santa's book about them, and include what they have asked for etc, you can then send it on FB or by email. You can also do adult ones. Its brilliant!!

Hope its useful to someone.
This is a brilliant find. Have just sent one to my daughter at uni in manchester. It was so easy to use and the video content is so personal to the intended recipient.

Re: Christmas
I too had great fun with that raineylb. I'm about to send it to about 20 different people.
Go ahead, make my day - by visiting my blog: http://jacobthehobnob.wordpress.com/
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.
Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

Re: Christmas
Glad you liked it, I have sent one to my brother and one to my sister who has had a tough year, she was so touched when Santa said ' Now......, I know you've had a tough year and really deserve ..........'
I've got the kids ones ready, have watched them myself about 20 times, but am trying to hold off showing them till a bit nearer the time, not sure how long I'll be able to wait though!
Have you also tried Elf Yourself, this was around a lot last year, you can make very funny videos of upto 5 people as dancing elves, in all sorts of styles from traditional to hip hop!!

Re: Christmas
As a very late Christmas present my mum wants to take me to see Rush at the O2 in May. For those that have been there, is the fourth floor really that bad? I spent an hour trying to find other seats but the lower levels are extortionate, especially as they've sold out at ticketmaster. Any help would be very much appreciated :)
