Huh. Tried to merge this with an existing thread but can't find one.
Re: Killing Bono
Just watched the trailer, I must admit it looks really funny. Good to see Pete Postlethwaite. I managed to get a couple of tickets for next week, I can't wait.

Re: Killing Bono
Had 2 tickets to see this in Belfast, but Virgin Media have cancelled the screening - was really looking forward to this too. Ah well at least they offered me 2 free cinema tickets in place of this, so can't be too full of sour grapes! The Belfast film festival are showing this as their opening night premiere the day after the supposed screening - wonder did that have something to do with it......

Re: Killing Bono
They are putting up barriers outside the Apollo Piccadilly Circus for the premiere tonight. Never seen barriers for the Apollo at Piccadilly Circus. They must be expecting someone like Ben Barnes

Re: Killing Bono
Maybe for the "celebrities" they are expecting that aren't in the movie but are attending? Ben Barnes didn't need barriers when he was doing Birdsong just a few steps away from Picadilly Circus...

Re: Killing Bono
Ben Barnes and Robert Sheehan were on Radio 1 a few hours ago promoting this and they are definitely attending the premiere.

An apology e-mail has been sent now saying that the reminder was automated, ie the film is still cancelled. Also saying that the free tickets will be posted this week.mistral wrote:I also had tickets for Belfast showing which was cancelled, ok I thought so free tickets for another screening sometime. However, at 6.30 this evening I had an email from showfiomfirst with my tickets for tomorrows screeing attached??????

I'd got the cancellation e-mail a few days ago asking for my address & I was a bit wary as noboby here had reported receiving the same e-mail - could have been a scam. I'm sorry the screening's been cancelled as I was really looking forward to it but it was really nice of them to offer us free tickets.
BTW the film festival have released another 15 tickets for the opening night.
