Gardens/Gardening/Plants
Re: Gardens/Gardening/Plants
I have a small rockery in shade for most of the day. It is planted up with herbs - sage, rosemary, lavender and a number of different varieties of mint as well as thymme and oregano. I scatter trailing or short nasterium seeds across it in late sring for a splash of summer/ autumn colour.

Thank you, we already have (did have) a herb garden that now is in pots as we are having an extension bulit. Rosemary and Basil are my favs, I just love eating the Basil! We did have nasterium along the fence by the pond, the flowers were beautiful and they did seem to love to self seed.mhatton131 wrote:I have a small rockery in shade for most of the day. The site a_person told us about is great, (second link) we had a lovely hosta but the little slugs kept eating the leaves and therefore the flowers !
There is one great plant/flower or whatever that I want, I think it is Campulana, but I can't seem to find this, probably me being silly and not checking the internet correctly, but beautiful purple flowers.
Thank you for all the input ! (God I sound so young)

Campanula, maybe? I remember these from childhood as my mother was a keen gardener and my sister has followed suit. Me, I love visiting garden centres, but for the tea rooms!
