I call sexism!

I'm surprised at a lot of negative reviews on rotten tomatoes, I can imagine people don't find it AS funny, but it's one of those films which felt like it was working on a universal level rather than focussing on one type of audience.

Well we maybe need to wait for some girl fmukers to sit through the whole film and see what they say. I still can't make sense of why they showed a five minute clip instead of a trailer before another film with no explanation as to what it was. It was of a bank robbery and it wasn't funny. It was like an am-dram improv, seemed really wooden or is that the 'comedy' part of it?

I thought this was pretty good as well. It has some very funny moments but some of the jokes do fall a bit flat.

Jesse Eisenberg and Aziz Ansari make a good pairing and generate most of the laughs.
I'm not sure about Danny McBride though, I find him totally unfunny. He is not as bad here as he was in 'Your Highness' but his appeal is lost on me.

Worth seeing though and doesn't overstay it's welcome. 7/10

Saw the clip in a presentation hours before seeing the film and feared I was walking into a mess of a film, but in context it works well. That's why I hate film clips, context is everything.

I like Aziz, but Danny McBride can be a bit wearisome. In Eastbound and Down it ws the other characters in Mexico that I found funniest

the story is (very loosely) inpisired / based on a real story of a pizza delivery guy who had a bomb strapped to him and went to rob a bank. in real life the guy was blown up. i haven't seen the film but can guess as it is a comedy this doesn't happen. art imitating life...

I can't believe 95% of the audience left and missed the end credits! It was an enjoyable watch, but much like Zombieland, it's very hit and miss. The hits mainly coming from Jesse Eisenburg and Aziz Ansari. The misses, yes Danny McBride. There really is only so much suck this, suck that you can hear from a "thespian". Aziz comes across very natural, unlike the sometimes very forced humour from Danny McBride.
I hope Ruben Fleischer goes onto bigger and better projects, he's got a certain distinct likeable style to his directing. A slightly generous 7/10

Thanks to the lovely ejwrank for inviting me to be her +1 tonight.

I really enjoyed this, mainly due to the great banter and comedic double act between the Eisenberg and Ansari. The film never takes itself too seriously and has plenty of humour and laugh out loud moments.

I think the swearing is excessive and the f-word is used far more than required. I also believe this is directed at a young male audience since quite a lot of the jokes are based on sex and crudeness. I found McBride a bit annoying and he uses the exaggerated acting style from Your Highness.

The film is short which works well in telling a very simple story. There's not much characterisation but Eisenberg brings a certain to charm every role he plays. The comedy is sufficient to overcome the ridiculousness of the plot.

There is an amusing post credits scene that is worth staying for.
