I really hope Olivia Colman get's a best actress nom for her role in Tyrannosaur even though as Paddy Considine said when questioned about it they don't have the money for any sort of 'campaign' for her or the film to win.

Ides of March and The Help, possibly? Mind you, Tinker Tailor is yet to be released in the US which could be a contender too as well as War Horse.

Best picture has to be a big Box Office hit, Ides of March is definitely not a serious contender and I doubt TTSS will be ( a bit to British for the Academy)

None of them apart from War Horse and it's probably a year they want a big amercian director to do well after King's speech and Slumdog.

An Education and The King's Speech were very British. As for being a big box office hit, was The Kids Are All right a big hit?
