I was just about to write my review but kevinknapman as pretty much summed up everything I wanted to say (except far more eloquently!).

Minus the ending, I though this is a great film overall. I was abit iffy after the writer was talking last night but it actually was very well executed. Definitely one to watch.

:thanks: again to the fabulous funthing29 for taking me yesterday as her plus 1.

Finally saw it this afternoon, and I'm not sure.
It has some great moments, both in terms of comedy and drama, it gets a li'l tear jerky at the final act, but there's an annoying structure of generic modern drama it seems to follow, and characters never seem more than they must have been written on the page. It unfolds sluggishly, with moments that should be big leaving no impact, apparently the picking up chicks segment was supposed to be a big thing in the relationship between JGL and Rogen's characters, but it was never presented as anything but a comic skit.

It's a shame the great cast didn't help rise the film above it's station, but it was ok. Too long, and the ending was unwarranted. It's really as the title says, 50/50.

This is the Total Film free screening this month as well, so we should see a code tomorrow.
Showings are on the 14th November.
