We have just finished our one month free trial with Netflix. It is very easy to sign up and also to cancel. It is on-line viewing only, no facility to download and store. So you can watch the content for as long as you are a customer. As Mr Glass has already said, Netflix has a larger content of tv shows, some really good ones. We especially enjoyed watching Prison Break all over again.

Most of the films are really old, but did find Oranges and Sunshine in there. DD enjoyed watching some films that took her back to her childhood and that we only ever owned on VHS.

We liked it because we could stream it on the Wii and watch on our main tv. Only cancelled because I would have liked to have had a greater choice of films.

Good call Flabber. Its actually £9.99 for 6 months, which is worth £29.94 (2 months for the price of 6 effectively).

Thats not a bad shout.
I've use the 'free trial' with lovefilm before and the service was great compared to other providers. Latest/obscure releases and quick delivery etc.

I'm enjoying my Netflix subscription now I've managed to adjust my settings and I'm able to access the American version of the site. The UK selection was relatively piss-poor, although they did have almost every episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia on there....nice.

Netflix pros: quality streaming on my Wii and their ongoing film recommendations. (cons less content)

Lovefilm Pros more content. (cons poorer quality streaming and not supporting the Wii.

Thanks for some of your suggestions.......

"Videodrome" - was weird, I didn't really understand what was going on!!

"Mysterious Skin" - was good

"Phenomena" was excellent, the music really added to the effect, (i've downloaded a few tracks) the chimp came good. (I watched Giallo by the same director but not great)

"Source code" is great on Love Film Instant
