Re: New Moon
I saw the movie first then read all four books. Of course, I thought the book was much better than the movie. There's so much that is lost on screen. I've read all four books and thought the first three were very good, the last one was such a let down, it was waaaaayyy too weird for me! Bizarrely, I think that's the on-screen instalment I'll like best

Re: New Moon
I am very excited about this. After watching Twilight I decided to give the book a go just to see how they compare and unfortunately got carried away and managed to listen to all four in just under 2 weeks
I agree that the last book does get a bit weird but in a book about vampires and werewolves what else can you do?

Re: New Moon
Michael Sheen's daughter is finally excited about her dad's new role in the Twilight saga.
Sheen will play evil vampire Aro in Twilight sequel New Moon.
The Queen and Frost/Nixon actor admits that his 10-year-old daughter Lily, who he had with his former partner Kate Beckinsale, is even demanding Sheen take her to the film's premiere in November.
"Forget about playing Tony Blair. When I told her I was definitely playing vampire Aro in Twilight she cried," said Sheen. "She was so overwhelmed and annoyed that I muscled in on something that belonged to her.
"She's already told me she'll be my date for the premiere."

Re: New Moon
I agree, i read all of them before the whole Twilight thing was popular and i was so i excited about BD but then i ended up hating it, i felt so diapointed. I like the Jacob bit the best but the parts from Bella's perspective were awful, also the way you are expecting something really big at the end to happen and then nothing does. Its a shame because even though the other three aren't masterpieces they are a fun read. It probably will turn out to be better on screen i hope, Eclipse and New Moon my personal favourites so they're the movies i am looking forward to the most!Demerara wrote:I saw the movie first then read all four books. Also i dunno if anyone has read it but Stephenie Meyer wrote another book called The Host, that has nothing to do with the Twilight Saga but that has been also picked up to made into a film!

Re: New Moon
I saw the trailer for this last night - it looked very good indeed. I've read none of the books, and I'm not into this type of film, but I can see why people like it. There was a great scene where one of the men was running and then morphed into a wolf. Might give it a chance.
Re: New Moon
I thought for a moment that this meant the real new moon, which is due next Monday and which I am eagerly awaiting!

I thought the first part of this was really boring so didn't think much of the second but having read the plot and seeing the trailer, I have hopes this will be better than the first. Will probably take a risk and watch the second one.

I think that you'll enjoy this more than the first as there's a lot more action in it. The first was sickly sweet teenage love story. I'm a 31 years old woman, but mentally I seem to revert to a teenage girl for anything Twilight related!
