Re: Untouchable
It wouldn't be the first time, twice they've sent us films without subtitles. I managed the whole of A Prophet without them along with 4 other people while 95% of the the audience walked out and Little White Lies where cineworld kindly offered us the option of sticking with the film with no subtitles or watching something else.
There was also another film called White Material where the subtitles were there but were coming out in blocks and what looked like wing dings font. They had to reboot the whole thing and restart the film and FF till they got to the same bit again (the first 10mins didn't have dialogue so it took a while to notice the problem).

Re: Untouchable
Saw this at a pretty packed Edinburgh tonight.
Brilliant film.
Superbly acted by the two male leads. The supporting cast were generally well used too.
I liked the start of the film and they way they tied it in again at the end. I know thta's been seen and done before but I really felt it worked well here.
The humour translated well and this was not overly French at all. My only fear is they might do a Hollywood remake - that would be a mistake as this was as near a perfect telling of a true story as I've seen in a long time.
It's a cheery, hopeful and funny film that should uplift and inspire. I absolutely loved it, as did most of the audience if the comments going out the door were anything to go by.
If there's a film to see this month, this is it.

Re: Untouchable
I completely agree with alythonian's comments. This is one of the best films I've seen in a long time. I absolutely loved this uplifting film, and would highly recommend it.

Re: Untouchable
Likewise, saw this in Dundee tonight with friends and parents. We all agreed it was a excellent film, surprisingly funny given the subject matter and subtitles did not detract from the enjoyment of it at all. I would also give 10/10 and would definitely watch again.alythonian wrote: Brilliant film.....It's a cheery, hopeful and funny film that should uplift and inspire. Re: Untouchable
Saw this at a 3/4 full Braehead Odeon. Not the usual crowd from a SFF showing either but more a Daily Mail readers type.
What a story and based on a true story too. Funny and touching. Two scene stood out for me - the birthday party after the guest left and also when Driss shaved Phillippe's beard.
