I was dreading this having seen the trailer - which I thought was dire.

Pleasantly surprised. It was not nearly as bad as I expected and from the huge freebie Ford got in advertising at one bit they'd have been better sponsoring this than On the Road!

Dax Shephard was surprisingly watchable and I was surprised to see he'd written it, directed it, produced it, edited it and starred! It was thoughtful (in part), funny (in part) and entertaining (in large) as a piece of light entertainment.

It's not going to win any awards but it did cheer me up and lighten my mood after a dull day at work.

I found this tolerable. The minivan scenes (- the gunshot element) were amusing and the story itself mildly interesting. Certainly no laugh out loud moments for me though. Might have been the mood I was in as others around me found it funny. The fast cars and rorty engine noises kept me awake. Lol.

Must admit that although the film carried on during credits I found myself wandering out regardless with the other sheep who always leave as soon as the first credit rolls. I couldn't have cared less if I missed any more. That pretty much sums up my opinion.

So in summary:-some actors I didn't recognise, some fast noisy cars, some mild romantic interest, oh - and some naked pensioners!

Tempted to go again on Thursday and see what the students make of it. Then again...

Watched this in Southampton this evening. Thought it was ok, it did have some funny moments and could have been much worse but was better than I expected. 6/10

We really enjoyed this. I had fears this would be a mindless crude comedy so was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. It wasn't laugh out loud funny but it didn't need to be. Charlie was really likeable even though he had a bit of a shady past and a frankly dreadful tattoo on his arm. I found his relationship with Kristen Bell lovely, you could really feel that those two loved each other. He was really loving and supportive towards her, and it's also nice that when he used the derogatory term "fags" for gays, his girlfriend immediately pulled him up on it and he was man enough to consider her argument. That said, the whole "pouncer app" storyline was a bit laboured and Tom Armold got on my nerves. And God knows why we have to see Jason Bateman as a policeman all the time.

Dax Shepard was really great though!

Had a good screening, and lovely to see prettyxcool and hopeprince.

    7.5/10

Kirsten Bell is his real life fiancee, so that probably helped!

Oh dear - this was completely puerile - fine for some people, who clearly did enjoy it, but not for me.

By an hour in, I was just waiting for this to end.

Nobody walked out tonight - but probably because it was so full at Odeon Leeds!

not for me I am afraid, yes some funny moments, but too much language. Wanted to wind it up a bit at times. even the car chases did not make it worthwhile and yes like Stuartboy saw it was still running at the end as we walked out but did not care.

Might have been better doing the ironing. 4/10 from me.
