Here's my review. What a morally reprehensible, vile piece of propaganda.

How is it propaganda? The man existed. What he did really happened. He was hunted down and killed. Good riddance, I say.

Read mrflunchy's review, his point is not about Bin Laden but the way the film has been directed towards acceptance of the "necessary torture" and hail to the "good" American men/women.
I do not agree with him, but I understand what he means and what all the controversy is about.

As said before, I just could not give a s**t about this movie and I definitely think that the first hour (mainly scenes of tortures) was the weakest and mostly unnecessary. This is not its only flaw though!

Went with my daughter to see this film last night and have to agree with Celini that the first hour was mostly unecessary, and contained torture scenes that made for really uncomfortable viewing on my part.

Thankfully the film got much better about half way in as the suspense started to build. Great to see a small cameo from John Barrowman.

Glad I've seen it, if only to see what all the hype is about. Would I watch it again? No.

I saw this tonight at Dominion in Edinburgh.

Really glad I finally caught it.

This really drew me in and after being annoyed by Jessica Chastain's character, Maya, she drew me in too.

Yes, I knew what the outcome was going to be before I plonked my bum on the seat in the cinema, but that didn't prevent me being drawn into the story and the various characters and the inordinately long period of real time this played out for (given the target).

The scene setting was realistic and tense and the showing of TV news interspersed throughout helped me keep timescale in play.

The ending was dramatic and well played.

I do agree the sight of John Barrowman was surprising and unexpected! He and the guy from Parks & Recreation could have done a good duet!?!

Not quite as good as Hurt Locker, but still an excellent film.

Finally had a chance to see this movie and must say I did enjoy it... although it did drag in the first 30mins but did pick up at the end

7.5/10
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

While Hurtlocker was character driven this is event driven. I loved both films and would go and see them again and again. Both thrilling, interesting and fascinating.

Saw this at Emerald Street film club night.

Gosh what a grim film Zero Dark Thirty is, directed by Kathryn Bigelow of Hurt Locker fame, so I expected her trademark tension direction, but the film lacked character, I could not identify with the CIA agent, who gave up her life to hunt Bin Laden down. However, the series of events and storming of the house was quite engrossing, although the torture methods were horrific. 7/10

I watched this over the weekend and thought it was excellent.

It's thought provoking, gripping and tense despite the big spoiler that everyone knows about the ending.

I'm intrigued how the film was going to be made before it was reworked, but as it is I was very impressed.
