Sonia Walger (Penny) and Dominic Monaghan (Charlie) both from Lost start in Flash Forward. It's supposed to be good enough to replace Lost when it finishes in it's final season in 2010. It does have a "somewhat" Lost feel (as does Fringe) where you have just have to keep watching the episodes to know what's going to happen! I did enjoy the first episode of Flash Forward - it did take a while to get into hottips but does get better after the first half so do try it again. It's also one of those shows where you do have to follow the entire series to know what's happening as often stuff that is shown later in the show does link back to an earlier episode and if you've missed it, you might be even more confused! Look forward to seeing the second episode! At least it gives me something else to watch on a boring Friday evening!

I got in from college at quarter past 8 and managed to get the school uniforms ready, do the pack lunches, get the youngest Boop off to bed with a bedtime story (quick one) and Me, Mr Boop and oldest Boop sat down on sofa lights out and silence to watch this at 9!

Quite an achievement in our house....can not wait till next monday.
This seasons Heroes seems much better. I watched the first two episodes last Tuesday and thought it was much better than last seasons so far.... Will check out the next one tonight and tell you how it goes.

It started last week.... Ummm, I go by American time. :P Not sure when it shows in Uk. UK are always last to get everything that's why I'm so suprised that Flashforward is out four days later than US! (Although they did do that for Lost...and seeing as it's a replacement...)

I didn't follow Lost but I have seen a few random episodes here and there and my brain just couldn't handle what was going on lolz

I use to watch Heroes but then it got really boring and confusing (Season 3?) so now I think I'm like a whole season behind....not sure if I should catch up?

FlashForward was kinda boring until they had the blackout (I thought the effects looked bit lame :p ) but you do think "ooh what's going on" then it got boring again and the last 10mins makes you want to watch the next episode....especially when they show clips of episode 2 o/ looked bit scary :red:

Did anyone find it funny when they watched the CCTV clips of people "dropping like flies" :p

Boyf and I watched this last night after his many MANY reminders of it being on and wanting to watch it. :p
We both agreed that if it was to happen for real our immediate thought would be that it was some alien involvement. But the final scene in the first episode may have eliminated that idea for the show...
It was good to see John Cho (Harold, of Harold & Kumar) playing a hard nosed character instead of his usual 'stoner', and even an appearance from Seth MacFarlane (the many voices and producer of 'Family Guy')! There were other faces I recognised too, but they were the two most removed from their comfort zone, I think.
Enjoyed the first episode am looking forward to the next installment.

:offtopic: I had no idea that 'Heroes' had started again in US, will have to check them out - am still addicted to it!! :D I did watch 'Lost' on C4 but lost interest after it moved to Sky and got too complicated.

On a side note - did anyone else think that the Kangaroo hopping around in the middle of LA (just after everyone regained consciousness) was indicative to the Polar Bear in the first episode of 'Lost'?? And yes, I know they are both written by the same people...
Preferred cinemas: All Central London: APOLLO Piccadilly, EMPIRE Leicester Sq; ODEONS: Leicester Sq/Covent Garden/West End/Whiteleys/Panton St; VUE: West End/Fulham/Islington, CINEWORLD: Haymarket/Shaftesbury Ave; Brixton Ritzy,
Then: Westfield, o2, Clapham

Tha kangaroo was sooo funny, very random and now you mention it.. yes.... simialar to the Polar Bear Scene in lost...

I cringed at the planes crashing into the buildings and the skyline.... reminded me of 9/11 and im sure it would have quite a number of others.

All the three shows you've mentioned here are shows where you need to watch each episode. Missing one makes it confusing as the story won't follow, also in the first season of Lost, each episode was about a different character and each season follows on with flashbacks of a character.
