Caught up with this today and whilst the prices at Empire Leicester Square are wince-making, at least the seats are fabulously comfortable and it seemed better to fork out now, when the film is still only showing at this one central cinema and I had time to see it, than to risk waiting and perhaps finding that it disappeared altogether.
Mixed audience, mainly of young, giggly, chatty girls, as you might expect, but also a few older people, including some men on their own.
I had no knowledge of the original series other than what I'd read recently, since the film's release, but didn't find that a bar to following the plot or to enjoying the experience. Corny and cliched but it certainly delivered on the entertainment front, so a perhaps rather indulgent 8/10 from me.
