Went to see this yesterday & thought it was very decent indeed .
This is actually the closest I've got this year to awarding a 9/10 to a free film but as the main character makes a truly logic defying decision towards the end of this flick's running time it will just have to make do with an extremely solid 8/10 from me...

That was the best bit! Certainly one way to make your point.

It just didn't work for me:

[spoiler]There was just too much at stake and there was nothing to indicate that the 'gesture' would appease the 72 Demons and prevent any further bloodshed.[/spoiler]
Still a great film though & the best free one I've seen this year...

My oh and I also liked the film. Good cinematography, well choreographed fighting scenes and funny in places. The plot did become a little bit daft towards the end, though. 7.5/10

I think this is one strictly for the devotees of blood-curdling martial arts (hacked off ears, arms; throat cutting, etc) movies. Others should stay away, maybe. Wish I had! The plot, such as it was, seemed utterly irrelevant.

I'm with you on this I only went as Ikea is next door. It was a good film if you like that sort of film so 7/10 for that but for my enjoyment 3/10.

I really loved this film. I left with a huge grin on my face. very pretty to look at as well as fun fight scenes.

csi meets fung fu in old China.

8/10 from me.

Thanks for that, I now know the significance of the 'wuxia' in the title (it ain't a postcode then!). I think it's the swordsmanship aspect of the 'xia' that made it so unpleasant for me to watch. Then that's just me. I would love to see a Chinese film (subtitles and all), but without wuxia.
