Not sure if im the only one, but i thought this was nowhere near as good as the first one! :/
felt like the ending was rushed and he kills
Kronos WAY too easy at the end, we're talking the freggin' father of all titans here! it wouldnt be that easy!
6/10 fro visual effects

the weak sequel of Monsters arrives, the Percy Jackson franchise has got a decent enough young cast but the script and plot are lacking this time. Its still an ok story for kids, but theres no trimmings this time round and most of the cloying young Cyclops scenes border on the cringeworthy. The series is threatening to become somewhat repetitive and dull if the movies continue in the same vein. Though I will admit that I wasn't sure what was going on all the time, nor why it was happening. I was just there for the SFX!

One thing you cant SFX out is that the cast is ageing rapidly. Logan cant play a teen in the next movie surely, as with the girl playing Annabeth who is starting to look like a young mum. What happens now to counteract this in the next movie? Do we change cast? Speaking of the ticking clock, was that really Chronos at the end? What a whimp! For now, Percy Jackson remains an easy way to kill time for kids but adults may find themselves glancing at their watches. 6.5/10 and fingers crossed they can get back on track next time.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
