A fun movie although a bit too long especially on such a hot evening making it so stuffy in the cinema. Have never seen the stage show but enjoyed the film version and loved the end scenes. 7/10

Back from Glasgow. Never seen the show so can't compare. As a film it was decent enough and actually didn't out stay it's welcome. 7/10

I loved this obviously not as good as the stage show but a brilliant adaptation apart from the dodgy wigs at the end. I have seen the amazing stage show and really excited to watch the show in Manchester.
I love musicals and this music is so upbeat ( it just makes you want to get up and dance) hence a very biased 9/10

I knew very little about Jersey Boys before watching the film last night as I have not seen the stage show. I was pleasantly surprised at how many of the songs I knew, which I didnt realise were Frankie Valli songs, and it didnt seem long to me, though when I came out I realised it was. I enjoyed the show and have already recommended to a friend I know would enjoy this. I must say I enjoyed the film and thought the actor who played Frankie Valli was really good, so 8/10 from me for the great songs, 1/10 deducted for the dodgy wigs at the end lol.

Saw this in Glasgow tonight in a reasonably comfortable temp as the air con was working hard.
I'd not seen the stage show and didn't really know anything about the story of Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons. I really enjoyed the film and thought it made very easy viewing with good music. The Jersey Boys will not win an Oscar but will provide a pleasant evening's viewing even if you have to p*y. Good story, good acting and great songs!

No-one else thought this was brown? In more ways than one!
So many of the costumes were brown, empahsised when there were 2 or mopre actors on screen - all wearing brown. The decor in the sets was mostly brown too. Some of the scenes even looked as though they had been badly coloursied from black and white footage.

The actual story (if you could call it that) as a biopic was rubbish, as very little actually happened. Even a death was virtually a non-event.
As a musical though it worked, and I have to admit that I liked and recognised pretty much all of the numbers. Some of them though sounded to me more like Pinky and Perky singing. I'm presuming that this was not original music but contemporary versions. I don't recall Frankie singing so much in that high pitched squeak - OK he would have had a wide range and could hit high notes, but so much of this seemed in an upper register. Mind you I certainly couldn't have picked out Frankie Vali in a line up nor recognised him if he was stood right behind me just now. (He isn't by the way - I just looked to check!)

I do agree with you, SB, about the film being brown but that colour was very commonly used in that era. I don't remember black being a very common colour except for funerals! I suppose black became the old brown!

A very low key gala screening on Monday night. Clint did not even turn up to promote it. Gladys Knight and Steve Mangan was supposed to be there, but I missed them, only saw Kat Shoob from Capital Radio, a very heavily pregnant Claire Sweeney (Brookside), Comediene Olivia Lee, and Brix Smith-Start (Gok's Fashion Fix).

Neil Fox from Magic lied when introducing the Jersey Boys cast from the West End Show! I got him on tape. Told us not to take photos while they performed but we could take photos after performance, but they just walked off the stage after performing. Boo to him!

Frankie Valli's story is such a sad story. Loved the songs, and great performances from all the cast. Nice witty Clint cameo. But the film was long! Wished we could have got up and danced though! What a night! 8/10

Stuartboy I sincerely hope that you weren't trying to slate Pinky and Perky as I did get their LP for my birthday I just loved Rosetta are you Better. Sadly my mother gave it away otherwise you could have borrowed it
