Re: The Ugly Truth
be aware that the code from this mornings metro for the 4th august screenings does say in the very very small print that you need the real page from the metro but if other codes come out then there will be no need obviousally

Re: The Ugly Truth
Got to Vue West End at 6.20 but when we got to the screen there was only a few seperate single seats left near the front and as it was a film neither of us was bothered about (was only going as I have a thing for Gerard Butler
) we left. Think OH is quite relieved TBH!
If it had been a film i wanted to see wouldnt have minded sitting seperately but not when its somehting i dont really mind not seeing

Re: The Ugly Truth
Just got back from seeing this. Quite a few funny moments. 7 out of 10 from me. Quite a few latecomers again, including a lady who came in about 20-25 minutes into the film and basically sat on my sister in law, who was leaning over the end seat in the aisle as it was free and had her bag in front of it on the floor and had to scrabble around the woman's feet to get it back. Then the lady decided to play with her phone. Hmmm....
Re: The Ugly Truth
Just got back from seeing this as well.
Have to say from a blokes viewpoint was quite funny and G Butler was on top form.
Chicks will dig it and if a bloke is dragged to see it will be enough in there to keep him entertained.
7/10

Re: The Ugly Truth
An easy film to watch as you know how it is going to end but what do you expect from a romcom. You don't have to concentrate too hard and there are a few lol moments. A very "When Harry met Sally" moment which was very predictable.
Katherine and Gerard just about pull this off without you hating the characters but nothing outstanding. An entertaining enough evening. Girls will love the rough and ready Gerard and the guys won't complain about being dragged along.
A 7 out of 10 from us.

Re: The Ugly Truth
Saw it at a more packed than usual Vue Romford, though it was one of the smallest screens so makes sense.
Didn't expect much, but the 15/R rating did make me think there was a chance it might surprise me, and, well, besides the vibrating underwear scene and the swear words nothing was really over 12a standards, to be fair the vibrating sequence was the funniest in the whole film.
It was a generic rom com, man and woman hate each other, learn to get along, oh, what's that, you don't want Mr. Perfect but the one you hated at the start? No way, you crazy chick.
Gerard Butler was great though, he saves the film with the charm and light heartedness he exudes, but it is just a chick flick with more swearing than the norm nowadays, and about time really, everyone seemed to laugh a lot, and it was a positive environment.
6/10 for some cracking moments underwhelmed by cliches.

Re: The Ugly Truth
I enjoyed this and preferred the pace and tone to that of "The Proposal", though I liked that, too. This was short and sweet and probably equally forgettable, but it didn't drag and the crudeness was quite refreshing in a way, though not overdone. Two older ladies walked out after a while, and just before the vibrating underwear scene! I certainly laughed out loud a few times - the closest comparison for me would be "The Hangover" but for girls.
