There's an awful lot of references to the classic original in the new movie. Did you spot them all?

Loved this, remember seeing original at cinema at 12 yrs old, this brought back memories. Nothing will match the original so why even compare. Characters & story were good, effects amazing, the end battle & climax is fantastic. Loads of great parts. The main female lead was good. Chris Pratt great as ever, loved the parts with him & the raptors.
4/5.

Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8

Just seen this and thought it was pretty good, some great action, a nicely realised park and some nice touches with apathetic staff and visitors, there's a few plot holes, but not enough to spoil it and there's an especially nice moment towards the end with Jake Johnson and Lauren Lupkus.

There's lots of nods to the original and it has just started on ITV if anyone wants to play Jurrasic Park bingo.

As impressive as the CGI was and as thrilling as the action set pieces were I got the biggest jump when this greeted me as I left the cinema.

Very impressive, though it was too much for at least one poor child who was reduced to tears.

While not overly impressive, thought this was good fun. Totally over-hyped and will no doubt do well at the box-office.

As many have already said, lots of references to the previous films and lots of plot holes.
Don't expect much from this... it's almost a "leave your brain at the entrance" type movie.

Enjoyed it to a certain degree but thought it slow to get started and when the action did begin found it a bit stop start. The 3D didn't add much to the film.

I loved Jurassic World! o/ I found it to be the first action film for a while where I was totally immersed in the film. Obviously I remember the original films and loved them when they were released. This film brings Jurassic back to the big screen to be enjoyed by a new generation of cinema goers. I loved seeing the links to the original films!
Great viewing though not for small children given the blood gore and terror.
Marks 9/10
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

As a HUGE fan of the original, I was very pleased with this. So many references to the original, and some really nice additional touches. It was extremely well made. I thought the last 30 minutes especially were very entertaining after it fell a little bit flat in the middle, but overall I thought this was worth the wait after the disappointment of JP3. I would rate this slightly better than The Lost World, far far better than JP3 and behind the original.

8.5/10

It's like they analysed the DNA of the first movie and thought 'you know what, there's actually a lot of dumb stuff here, what if we take a lot of the new story out, replace it with more dumb and hide it with a bit of dinosaur', seems like it worked.

JP5? - reopen the reopened reopener. It doesn't matter as long as they have liemax 3-Dinosaurs in it, people will want to see the ensuing carnage again and again until the movies become a slew of man vs reptile battles ending up as Jurassic Park - World War 3D. And right on, seeing Maid Marion getting multi-pterodactyled was awesomely funny, cant wait to see Ricky Gervais get it.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
