I loved it. I'm a fan of Rocky 1,2 and 3, then my love for it stopped until now. Solid performances with a nice blend of some moments that took you back to earlier films i.e catching the chicken, shot of the turtle etc. Found the chosen venue for the big fight hilarious and surprised to hear of the extension built for the capacity of a 100,000 people (?). The lone Liverpool scarf right at the front was funny, meant to be or a blooper?
All in all, loved it 9/10

Re: Creed
Creeds main strength is its ability to turn most of the first movie's content on its head, a kind of mirror image twin of Rocky I with a lot fo the material reversed not caricatured. All in all not bad, although it has its share of cringeworthy scenes like all rocky movies do. Nevertheless this is the first since the first that feels like a stab at a real movie, with a slow story build up, interesting buddy interplay between the leads and some nice De Palmasque touches to fight scenes.
I felt stallone wasn't acting, just goofing around being himself for the most part. The again, I suspect hes been doing that most of his career.

Re: Creed
I liked that it took a different take on the storyline in terms of the focus of character but it's still the same in terms of someone needs to train for a very important fight...etc. I really like Micheal B. Jorden and Tessa Thompson as actors and thought they brought alot to the film. Stallone for me was a stalemate, same old Stollone with jokes about new age technology. I know Americans love an underdog story but I'm not sure the film needed the cancer storyline to emphasis this.
