worth a watch but its not a must see, held the time well but film is a bit of a downer but the ending i guess makes up for it.

had to wait till adverts and trailers were over before getting let into the screen at 1150, is this the new norm for picturehouse cinemas regarding previews

It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but this is a superb film, capturing with painful accuracy the throttled, inarticulate grief that many adult men endure.

Some have painted Affleck as wooden, but he takes the role perfectly.

I wasn't really bothered about this film but I thought I'd give it a go - and am I glad I did.

Wow - what a wonderful film - I am not surprised it has been nominated for so many rewards.

The main storyline of how

The storyline about Casey Affleck past

, and both Affleck and Michelle Williams portrayed this superbly.

Fantastic performances by all the characters and a storyline that I just can get out of my head!

A must-see film for all

No doubt MBTS is a slow passed film. Casey Afflecks character comes across as very tortured and complicated and the reason for this unfolds during the course of the film. Affleck is 10 times more a better actor than his brother. He plays quote a stoic character with little emotion, but I picked up on all those subtle emotional nuances in his acting throughout the film which I think credit to him is probably why he's been nominated for so many awards. I thought he did a great job and I thought the film was a brilliant tearjerker.

9/10
