Re: Tron Legacy
Thanks for the code - just got my tickets to the Imax BFI - sweet venue!! Will be good to see a proper taster of whats to come - I know its only 23 mins, but its all part of the build-up. Remember when people went to see that dodgey Brad Pitt movie "Meet Joe Black" just in order to watch the "Star Wars Episode I" trailer and then all walked out afterwards?? A bit extreme I know, but fans are fans. Here is a Newsweek piece on it:
"Never doubt the force. In "Star Wars" legend, the energy field created by all living things helped Luke Skywalker destroy the Death Star and ultimately bring the Empire to its knees. Last week on Earth, it induced thousands of people to fork over nine bucks for a peek at two minutes of film.
Make that two incredibly anticipated minutes of film. The first trailer for "Star Wars: Episode I--The Phantom Menace" debuted last Tuesday at 75 theaters across the country, to the delight of "Star Wars" fans who've waited 15 years for a look at the next installment in George Lucas's space saga. (The film itself, which is to be the first of three slated "Star Wars" prequels, … "

Re: Tron Legacy
Yes , it was 21st of August 2009 and showed 15 mins of Avatar in 3D at selected venues. I got tickets to the BFI Imax at 10:30 which turned out to be one of the earliest screenings and we got an intro from the Manager of the BFI IMAX. It was def worth going to!
I hope Tron Legacy will be equally exciting!
