Went to Kingston too but we didn't get the free coffee voucher?! Quite enjoyed this film. The special effects were very good I thought.

Was just going to reassure ClareBarr that she didn't miss much, it was only a 35% discount, and have now noticed that the date and time was 27/04/11 between 17:00 and 19:00 so not only a day late but given out after a film which finished at 20:30. (Sorry a bit :offtopic: )

Nice to meet Jeancomp last night in Kingston! Hope you enjoyed it!

I enjoyed it more the second time round but sometimes thought Rob really didn't quite express in his face what I thought he should which was disappointing because when he's in interviews and stuff he has such an expressive face so i don't understand why he wasn't able to do it here in parts.

the music is still a let down for me, very much so. i love the source music, the choices were great but the score isn't epic enough and Jacob's theme is too subtle and blah

my mum has never seen rob in a film before and she said she thought he was very good and she loved the film. i told her i wanted an elephant and she lauged and said ok, i'll get you one next week LOL

Saw this last night at Covent Garden...surprised to see the hall almost full..atleast 90% I say..
In my view the movie was a bit slow...only seemed to pickup pace once Rosie arrived..I say bollywood does better circus pictures (sorry hollywood)
This one could have been more extravagant.

6/10

Not that I want to necessarily defend this movie but it's set during the depression and depicts circuses struggling to survive. Anymore extravagant and it would have been even more unconvincing. If anything I thought it was too extravagant as regards Witherspoon's outfits and living quarters.

You have got to be joking!!! Bollywood movies are a big joke! I only watch them to laugh at what they do and they try their very best to imitate as much of Hollywood as they can. There have only been a very few good Bollywood movie that I would recommend (eg. Lagaan) but the majority are not worthy of recommending. And the circus pictures would be so unrealistic that this film would win an Oscar.

Bollywood movies are extremely long, they make a song and dance every few minutes and the storylines are almost always the same. And in an attempt to imitate Hollywood, they have gone from bad to appalling! Several Bollywood films have taken storylines directly from Hollywood films and other industries and then reproduced it (eg. Dhoom (The Fast & The Furious), Hum Tum (When Harry Met Sally), Koi..Mil Gaya (ET) to name a few). The older Bollywood films were much better - they should also stick to romance!
