looking at the pictures, I wonder if that crane and tower were lit up properly?

this seems a bit unsympathetic, its not meant to be, but, at least only 2 people died. It could have been so much worse 8O

So sad, it was on a scheduled flight from Redhill in Surrey to Elstree in Hertfordshire, and because of bad weather was asking to land at the Heliport in Battersea.

Small world...colleague of mine at work was good friends with the pilot (for 30 years).
He's pretty heart-sore now after seeing a picture of him on the news.

Small world indeed. I lived in Elstree until last March and am now in a nearby town.

That's what I was thinking, as I was born and brought up near Elstree and had a Saturday job at a kennels near the aerodrome; also used to walk and cycle round that area a lot and still have family there.
