No free preview but still saw this free with Nectar points and really enjoyed it. A big improvement on my first film of 2010 and on the wretched Juno, which I shall hope was a temporary aberration. I saw it in what must be the biggest screen at Vue West End and there were only 5 of us in there, so no atmosphere, but that didn't matter. Vue's in-house magazine compared it to Thank You For Smoking, Sideways and Burn After Reading, all of which I liked, so for once that "See It If You Liked" line was right.

I saw this at Wimbledon where as usual the screen was not expanded when the film started - what is it with that cinema and why do I get so angry about it? I didn't know what to expect with this film, with all the Oscar buzz surrounding it. I did enjoy it adn thought the leads all put in great performances. George delivered a lovely subtle performance, that made me feel for him and the life he thinks is the perfect life. I was quite sad at the end of it, not how I thought it would end at all 8/10
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Coming back to London and seeing all those ads for this film, they use many many quotes with the word "comedy" , "romantic comedy" on it, which sadly is giving some people the wrong idea about this film. Still it's the best film I've seen recently so far. Hope it does well at tonight's Golden Globes.

I've made a similar comment about the film elsewhere, but it looks like it will end up being one of those films that gets loads of nominations for being a great film but at the same time it misses out on the actual awards for not quite being the best of the year in each category (and the Globes has sadly appeared to confirm this)

I still reckon it will at least win the award for Best Adapted Screenplay though!

I saw this last night, I was disappointed, not my cup of tea I was expecting it to be a romcom from watching the trailer!! I give it 6/10, if it wasn’t for George Clooney it would have been 4/10!!

I wasn't so keen on this film either. I thought it was good but not great. I'm not a big fan of George Clooney movies - I find most of them quite boring (his best role for me was as Doug Ross in ER - he can't top that - think it has been downhill since then!). I kind of predicted how it would end half way through so I think I got a bit bored with it. I'd only give the film 6.5/10.
