Just saw the first episode of Scandal in Season 3. How awesome was that?!

Are we Gladiators or just bitches?

It was awesome, but I wanted them to drag out the revelation a bit longer.

I cant believe its already made! Its not all that so far but the actor playing John has got his mannerisms right.

Hope it don't get cancelled. :cross: 'eck.

some recent viewing

Badults - possibly the worst sitcom I've ever seen, an ugly copy of the The Young Ones 3 decades too late. Should never have been renewed.

Siblings - thought this was going to be another Badults, but no, surprisingly funny show about 2 immoral early twentysomethings trying to do as little as possible. A little disgusting and probably not as funny as it thinks it is at times because of that, but definitely fun enough to get a second series I hope. Flaunts all the ''soft' southerner stereotypes very well so I can imagine this being popular up North. Theres almost something mentally wrong with the pair, not that they are in the slightest aware of it as they plough through each scene regardless of their decrepitude.

Legends - a promising start though the obvious season arc plot about Bean's real identity is far fetched. Is this going to turn into a new version of The Prisoner!? Beans holding up well in the lead role, but is he a little too old for a series that might run for years?

Tyrant -not as black and white as you might imagine, but given the limited storyline I am not sure how this is going to last -two main leads, which means the series will be extinguished as soon as one of them dies (and the situations they are in makes that a daily possibility). Refreshing though to have a series focusing on a bad guy. Beautiful locations, but a little damning of foreign countries. Hopefully this isn't going to devolve into yet another obvious excuse apology for the US invading small countries. That would be a shame, because theres some damn fine quality performances here.

The Last Ship - deep into the post-Bush, Obama regime its not nice to make dramas that revolve around surrepticiously killing Middle easterners for their oil. So what happens when you cant make commie whooping or Afghan whipping military dramas anymore? Make a military apocalypse drama and go whip the futures ass. Yep, Last Ship commits the last people on earth, a US naval team, to saving the Earth, complete with hot tomb raiding female scientist, a whiney 2nd in command and a master chief cloned fresh from Kurt Russell. Stereotypes aside, I really am enjoying it. Sci fi appears to be taking over every tv genre possible these days - only the good ol' US can save us from this kind of infection. Love it.

The Strain - whilst this is unashamedly comic book 2 dimensional, even then barely attempting to plumb the depth of say, Walking Dead, I am loving this, the real strengths are not the performances nor the plot but the proper supernatural special effects.

Being Human USA - the show is long finished now but just a note to add season 2, where I am currently, is where the US version seperates from the UK one and really starts picking itself up. There are some tremendously good eps by the time midseason comes round that more than match the UK Being Human.

Bitten - wow was this pants for a Werewolf drama, or what. Its basically Dallas, with hair.

Started watching, Peaky Blinders season 2 yesterday, Forever and Legends which all look watchable so far. Concluded season 2 of Ray Donovan which I think has got a little silly compared to season 1 so not sure about season 3, will wait for the trailer.
