That looks like a standard cable, I have loads laying around here and they're all interchangable. Have you tried another cable?

I b*ght that one cause I didn't have mine anymore, I forgot it at my sister's in France. So, no. I mean I haven't tried another one today, as I only have this one.
I've tried others, before.
I guess I just have to be patient and wait till I got my old one back.

Aaand I still have issues with my usb cable.
It works with my mp3 player, but when I connect my external hard drive, it appears on the computer but then, when I click on it, I have an error message: 'Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (F:)'
I have a Warning Sign on my 'Device Manager', stating that 'Windows cannot use this hardware device because it has been prepared for "safe removal", but it has not been removed from the computer.'
But nothing changes after I unplug / plug it again.

Argh.

Steve, do you think I should now do what you recommended me? ('change Drive Letter and Paths')

I would obtain a different cable because it sounds very faulty to me.

I forgot to say (?) that this is a new cable! It works perfectly with the mp3 player (which makes me so happy).

I actually just changed the letter as I saw this on several forums / tutorials too, and it sill doesn't work with the driver... just hope it's not messing too much with my data and that it won't be damaged.

As a matter of interest, why would I need to have colour ink to enable my printer to print in black?
My cartridges are separate and some of the colours have run out but the printer has now decided it won't allow me to print even though the black cartridge is full.
