There are a few scenes of animal cruelty but nothing too graphic.

the animal cruelty is pretty harrowing but there is only one pretty bad scene so its not for long.....if you do go and see it take tissues.

Did any Twilight fans spot the irony of Robert Pattison playing a character called Jacob??

In that case, avoid this! Agree with havingascreen that there is only one really harrorwing scene but it's really horrible (that particular scene). I had to look away and the screaming was horrible too. It was one of the parts that I really did not like about the film but also probably one of the more realistic parts of how animals in a circus are treated.
