My husband is re-arranging his work schedule so that he can come along with me. And here I was, wondering who to take.....

Re: Avengers Assemble
If you want to get good seats arrive early, but not too early, they won't let you into the screen until the allotted time so you'll just be hanging around in the foyer.TheOnes wrote:For anyone who has been to Greenwich before for a film, would it be wise to still show up as if it was starting at 6-6:30? I'm thinking crowds, lines, people not knowing of the time change, limited venues etc.steve9872 wrote:I've just had a notification from sky about the time this will be on.We are emailing to inform you that MARVELS AVENGERS ASSEMBLE screening Thursday 19 April, will be starting at 7:30pm, so please arrive at 7pm.
This is an hour later than the previously scheduled time of 6pm for 6:30pm.
For the simple reason that i'm attending a VFX training seminar down London that day and it ends at 4pm with an hour breakout session at the end, and its a 30 minute train ride+delays/walking to Greenwich. Just thinking if i have time for a stroll around the town, resturaut to fill up on many assorted foods, etc. Or do i want to get there ASAP and rush there as soon as its over and fill up on Malteasers (my version of Popcorn for cinemas)?
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Re: Avengers Assemble
Is it definitely in the Superscreen? The way the tickets were snapped up so fast (I missed out so am very bitter) almost leads me to think it'll be in a smaller screen.Jayman wrote:I would definitely make an effort to get there as early as possible. Even though the Sky Superscreen is massive, I'm expecting this screening to be hideously oversubscribed. Get there by 18h00-18h30 to be safe. If you have a friend, go in together and at least claim yourself a pair of seats. After that you can come out and load up on refreshments.
Don't forget, it's on the same night as Elfie Hopkins at the O2, for which tickets went out earlier so that might have been allocated the Superscreen already - thus more tickets available for that film. Pure speculation on my part.
P.S. Have I already mentioned that I'm totally gutted to be missing Avengers? Just checking

That would be hilarious if the put Avengers on a small screen and the rubbish Elfie Hopkins on the Super-Screen!don_datta wrote:Is it definitely in the Superscreen? Re: Avengers Assemble
I didn't realise it was 3D until the Sheffield star comp. Unfortunately it won't be in the Imax screen here as Titanic is still on the schedule. I would have mustered more enthusiasm for Imax

Re: Avengers Assemble
the fact that it hasn't been shot in IMax format might be the reason for it not being shown in the IMax

Re: Avengers Assemble
Well it did get a one-star review in Empire (and a two-star one in Total Film) and the trailer is awful.Celini wrote:And why would Elfie be rubbish again?

Re: Avengers Assemble
I loved the trailer... (but I think we're getting slightly off Avengers topic here. Sorry Beate!)
