How can you all mark it down just because you didn't see it in 3D? It doesn't add that much, you know. In fact, I have never understood the fascination. I would happily watch any film in 2D. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs was in 3D, and I can't for the life of me remember the difference to a 2D film!

lol.....think it was just because I was so excited for my first 3D film then it didnt happen....If I'd of known you could take 3D glasses in I would of b*ght some x

I don't think you can just wear 3D glasses to the 2D version, I think they have to play out the 3D version.

I marked it down because I did experience dissappointment at it not being 3D (and my enjoyment of these films comes from appreciating the computer rendering and technology not just the story) and I marked Coraline up because it did have 3D.

I saw Up yesterday at Leeds Showcase (thanks to a_person ) and loved it. I didn't actually realise that it should have been in 3D so I wasn't disappointed by the fact it wasn't! It was funny, sad (my friend actually cried at one point), and the graphics were amazing. I would definitely see this again and recommend it to everyone. The best Disney/Pixar film I have seen in a long time!!!!

An extra bonus was the short before the film - Loved it too!!

Oh i think me and my fella were behind you then, we were 2nd row of seats back in the Premier section in the end seats near the aisle... think we were the first to leave. Ok Carnations out for "An Education" unless there is any others sooner :O)

Mr Boop was right at the end on the Aisle seat and I was sat next to him and then the children were in from there. So you must of been right behins us! lol

Nope not met anyone yet.. think I will have to get the boyf to save my seats and loiter round at the entrance next time... or as you say let you know what im wearing.... me and the boyf obviously were wishful thinking of the weather and had a shorts on yesterday.

Saw this at Glasgow East Showcase yesterday, and enjoyed it a lot. Not sure it was one of the 'memorable' Pixar/Disney movies though.

I did hear a couple of grumblings from some about it not being in 3D, few cinemas offer this mainly due to the fact you need a silver screen as opposed to the cheaper white screens that most multiplexes have, I know Cineworld in Glasgow only installed one in one of their screens recently.

8/10 from me for Up.

I watched this yesterday - loved it! Sadly, not in 3D at Gateshead, but that did not actually detract from the overall experience. A heartwarming family film. 10/10 from the softie from Durham.

I guess we don't really need another review of this one - but it was wonderful.

Pixar are just so brilliant at making films for both adults and children to enjoy. The film had great emotional depth I thought - I had to fight shedding a tear. The attention to detail from Pixar is so impressive - the old man’s stubble growing as the film went on - brilliant. The animation was top notch which you could especially see on the fire, the waterfall and the dog’s fur.

We saw this at the Reading Showcase – which involves a trip down the motorway for us - and unfortunately there was an accident on the way – so we missed the short and the beginning of the film! We never leave at the last minute – we had left an hour to get there – so that was very sad. It was still fantastic though, even after having missed the opening. 9/10 from us – as nothing can beat the first time of seeing Toy Story for me!

Wow, I finally got lucky and got tickets for UP! So ecstatic to see this. Been a fan of Pixar way way before they made Toy Story. I used to follow their progress at making 5min shorts which took them 2-3 years to make in the 80s. What was breathtaking was not the CG animation but the heart and soul they put into everyday objects.

I actually dont want to see this in 3D. 3D has always been a distraction to me and doesn't bring realism and makes me a bit disorientated. Its fun but only as a gimmick. If I want to feel immersion into a movie then I would go to the Imax.

Glad to see everyone who has already seen it has generally enjoyed it

Watched this on Sunday in Manchester thanks to a_person, didn't realise that it was sad going to have parts, brought a tear to my eyes! Loved it 10 out of 10 from me.

Im still trying my hardest to get my sister tickets. She was gutted she couldn't come with me on Sunday but was doing a walk for Alzheimers and raised £200 so I told her I'd b*y her a couple of tickets if we can't get another pair free! Fingers crossed though someone will come up with a spare pair for Cariff or Swansea
