Re: James Bond: Skyfall
I think the 'realism' and brutishness is a good angle to follow and can be milked further in sequels. Fading the line further between villain and hero should be in order - M's sins that are implied in this movie could be built on in subsequent films. In fact replacing the villain with an anti-hero or even a hero role, and portraying Bond in the role he should be in if he was real - an unthinking brute staunchily supporting the invasion of oil rich countries and murdering innocents in order to keep our oil prices down - is just the way things should go...with perhaps some redemption and character development for him at the end of the movie. Daniel would make a hell of a villain, though it would go against years of tradition in Bond as the unswerving hero.
If that is too much for an audience to stomach then surely Ralph Fiennes is perfect for playing the next baddie, and in control of MI5 too! That would top any previous villain. In fact thats likely to be direction they will take, it just seems to fit too well with what Fiennes does in this movie.

fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
Re: James Bond: Skyfall
Finally saw this last weekend and whilst I thought it was a good movie I don't think it lived up to all it's hype as the best Bond movie ever.
Still think Daniel Craig is great at playing a slighter darker Bond character in keeping with the books.
I'd give it 7/10

Saw this last week it's good but for me did not feel like a James Bond film. A bit like James Bond done on the cheap maybe. 7/10

I thought this was highly entertaining. Very happy about Ralph Fiennes. Loved Javier Bardem, even though he wasn't as terrifying as he was in No Country For Old Men.
8/10

Re: James Bond: Skyfall
I b*ght into the 'best Bond ever' hype and have to say was a little disappointed. Overall 7/10 I thought. Better than the last one but not better than Casino Royale.

It's cool
Personally am sad to see
Judi Dench out of the series. Always found her to be a consistently classy performer.
Ralph Fiennes is just as talented though and should make a fantastic successor.
