Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
Guys, stop whatever you're doing right now and watch There Will Be Blood on the iPlayer:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... _Be_Blood/
As our own EthanRunt said on twitter, it's a masterpiece if there ever was one. I couldn't agree more - it might just be the most important film of the last 10 years.
If you haven't seen it, this is your (glorious) chance. If you were one of the FMUKkers who saw it at preview screenings and didn't like it (and I remember, back when I was taking down scores at MSE, there were a few of you!), now's the time to get your head on straight!

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
I loved the opening sequence where Holmes constantly corrects the grammar of the guy he is interviewing - sorry but that's what I would often love to do and he just does it with the complete self-unawareness of a socially inept but very intelligent person. "I will get hung for this!" "No you won't. But you might get hanged." Brilliant dark humour.

Yeah Sherlock!
Same as Spanner here, loved the first episode, 2nd a bit disappointed, yesterday's was definitely better than the 2nd one!
Adaptation, direction and editing are very enjoyable; I feel like reading the books now :)

Re: What Did You Watch Last Night?
Saw The City of Lost Children at the BFI Empire Film Science Series. A very fascinating and strange film of a mad scientist who kidnaps little children to steal their dreams as he cannot dream, and he is controlled by a brain. Great acting from the children, especially the little street girl (absolutely captivating) who helps Ron Perlman to try and rescue his little brother and the other children. Recommended.
