empathising
looking at them when they are talking to you (if face to face) - ie letting them know they have your full attention.

interpersonal skills and communications skills are very important in a customer service role. there are far too many people who have neither of these who manage to get these jobs. i don't understand how or why, but there just is.

good luck!

We're looking for someone to help us out at our London office. We need someone who can keep their ears to the ground & suggest future Come Round party themes & then track down the right business contacts. The right person will be resourceful, creative, strategic, energetic & into entertainment. With marketing qualifications and/or hands-on marketing or business development experience. If interested, email jobs@comeround.com with CV & email why you should be considered. Closing date Sun 4 Oct
http://www.facebook.com/ComeRoundUK

Sounds like it could be an interesting job and have had some great stuff from Come Round in the past, last free party pack included a soda stream!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Ah don't give up. My daughter had the same problem she was about to give up but now has an interview on Friday. She recently went out for another b*ght of job hunting and the vibe was completely different compared to the beginning of the summer. Lots of places said they were looking to recruit in September and a lot of the shops are starting to recruit for the Christmas tempts. So go for it. Sending positive vibes your way. :P
