Sorry for everyone that had wasted journeys, that is so annoying especially if you have children with you.
Getting there early is an answer but how early is early? Usually its 30 mins, so next time 45 mins then an hour? grrrr
Just seems to be this particular one there's been a couple of other screenings (2nd viewing of Horrible Bosses/ bridemaids etc) where I strategically try to turn up at 6:25-6:28 in the hope it's oversubscribed and I'm allowed to see a different film. Hasn't worked so far though, they've never been full.
I agree it's down to the faff and all the changes they've been making to the booking system causing the problems.

Oh that 'What?' was directed at me. Sorry. So here's a shameless link to a piece I wrote a few months back about the Wilhelm Scream.

You can also hear it in the film itself in this clip about 19 secs in.

From Wikipedia: The Wilhelm scream is a film and television stock sound effect first used in 1951 for the film Distant Drums. The effect gained new popularity (its use often becoming an in-joke) after it was used in Star Wars and many other blockbuster films as well as television programs and video games. The scream is often used when someone is shot, falls from a great height, or is thrown from an explosion.

LOL except as I discovered tonight there are no alternative choices I'd seen Beginners, Cars2, Bad teacher, Bridemaids, Horrible Bosses and Harry Potter and that's all there was to see. Harry Potter is choking out everything else.

I gave my tickets to a friend and he said that it was a joke with the queue. He did get in so was unsure of how many got turned away.
I think people (as has been said) are either cancelling and keeping print out or are using the packages to enable name change.
I do think this is very unfair especially when children are turned away.

The second link has the clip. 19 seconds in. It's during the motorbike chase.

Saw this tonight at a very full Fountain Park. Huge thanks to my ticket fairy
Loved it, the best Marvel Film so far. No problems with the film reel, sound or anything an absolute joy other than the sweety papers behind which were a bit off putting.
Wish there was another screening would go and see it again. Was surprised to see Richard Armitage aka Lucas North from Spooks and North & South.
Enjoyed the trailer or Avengers at the end too.
Actors well chosen and really could not fault it. Best film of the year so far 10/10 and that's without John Travolta

It's total f**king drivel. I'll give the first half an hour plenty of credit. It's an interesting opening. It spirals into a fatal freefall when he becomes the propaganda merchant that is Captain America. It's a movie that suffers from being horribly dated. Watching a man with an American shield barge his way into a Nazi factory is nothing short of ridiculous. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. It's worse than The Green Lantern. I'm not entirely sure how it has managed that, but it has.
