I'm just reading a book about The Palace of Versailles and LouisX1V which is really interesting but as it's in French I can only read 4 pages each night as I have to really concentrate as languages are not my strong point. I will make an effort to improve.

the first book I read in English was Harry Potter (1)... what a nightmare! I had to stop every 2 sentences and get my dictionary

not easy i bet, when half the words are made up!

My dictionary is at my side but I'm determined to read and understand it!

The Perks of being a wallflower is amazing.

The book is written as if you are being sent annoymous letters by a teenage boy growing up. He writes to you every two weeks with updates. The usual teenage alcohol, drugs, sex, romance etc. Loaned the book to tons of people who loved it!

I've been reading a bit of poetry recently (such as Thomas Hardy's Drummer Hodge and Transformations) and thought I would have a go myself. So here I am putting finishing touches to a poem whilst listening to Genesis. What a strange thing to be doing at 23:35 on a wednesday evening.

I’ve just finished reading The Executor by Jesse Kellerman. It is a gripping thriller, involving a young philosophy graduate, who is employed by an old lady to spend a few hours as a conversationalist. The arrival of the lady’s nephew marks a twist in the plot, and the young philosopher is set on a course of action with devastating effects. A little deep in places, and references to Nietzsche and other philosophers are two a penny.

Ive just b*ght myself the i am number four novel ^^ as the film can never properly represent the book!
might also get never let me go in time for my trip to florida in april
knowing my reading speed, ill probably finish them on the plane journey

picked up 2 books today for 50p each in a charity shop. i got "the host" by stephanie mayer for my best friend and i got "the curious incident of the dog in the night-time" by mark haddon.

pretty pleased with those two! £1 very well spent methinks!

i love reading but i cant fit it around my uni work, i hate stopping and starting when reading
so atm, ive got skullduggery pleasant danger days to finish, procession of the dead and city of snakes by darren shan to start, the thin executioner by darren shan, just got the i am number four book and ive got the entire hitchhikers guide to the galaxy saga to begin...
thinking of taking the llot on holiday!
great reading material for the plane and for the 'tanning days' x)

I am reading The Ambassador's Mission and Book 1 of The Weather Warden series, or sth along those lines, the title of the book itself is Ill Wind.

Anybody read them? feedback?
