All the characters played their parts really well. Not sure I would watch it again though, don't think it would be as funny the second time round. Did anyone stay to give a video interview for total film? My brother gave one! Anyway 8.5/10 from us.
yeah, my OH and I was asked to do the video interview - but we declined, as I was not looking my best (so vain!) and my OH was camera shy! :P

I love the hat, gonna wear it at V to protect me from those "nice" people throwing their drinks about!

Having said that I got given a box of yummy red velvet cupcakes today as a thank you gift by a colleague who was in a fix last week. Strangely enough there's only one left in the box Image
SB - ho hum - I would do the same too! ;)

I just didnt get this film at all. Is it me? Am I showing my age a bit, me thinks so. I saw this tonight at Sheffield Cineworld and people were being turned away as it was packed to the rafters. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying the film except us, there was a lot of laughter in the crowd. Yes it was different, maybe a little too different for my liking. Definately the wierdest thing I have seen all year 3/10 Sorry !! I think the US audience will like it more than us Brits, I am so glad my dad didnt come as I am sure he wouldnt have lasted to the end

I feel this is going to be like Kick-ass, you either love it or you hate it, unfortunately I am in the 2nd camp again. I really can't imagine someone who is not into computer games, not into cartoons liking this film much as to give 8,9 10/10
Lets start off with the good bits first, yes, it's very inventive and felt like a breath of fresh air in the beginning, however by the 3,4 ex I was really losing interest. It's probably the best of the "computer game" movies, but thats not saying much. I still make this point again, people want to play computer games, rather than "watch" computer games. I know computer games is a bigger market than films nowadays.
Full marks for the director and his genre bending touches, but this really should be a genre he should have stayed away from. If you like Kick ass, you will like this, otherwise stay away.4/10 and I didn't get any hats/T-shirts :(

as adult friends found the 6.30 too difficult brought darling 10yo nephew as read a review somewhere that this film was suitable for 'tweens' (between 10 - 13). we both really enjoyed it. every time there was a big fight scene we pretended we were gaming and made hand movements as if we were controlling it via a ps3 or something. and that joke didn't get old between us!

kimberly the drummer was one of my most fav characters.

that's one the reasons i love you guys. i probably wouldn't have seen this film if it wasn't for free. but having seen it i can't wait to watch again (and will happily p*y) with friends who get more of the jokes (@ soonforgotten need heads up as the sonic 2 refs - and prob many more - were lost on me). this film is about the "L word" for me 9/10.

cheers!

The laughter was quite lukewarm actually and the US audience don't get it at all, it bombed when it opened last week in the States (much like Kick-ass). It's actually going to do better in the UK I imagine, but the critics do seem to love it

Im glad I wasnt the only one not to rave about this film and neither did the 3 friends I went with as it was total crap.
Admitably there was the occasional funny bit but not enough to make this a good film.

I loved Kick Ass but this wasnt half as good

Now I understand why the screening room was so full when we got in at 6:15. I had forgotten about the free t-shirts / hats, otherwise I would have queued, instead of waiting 15min outside for my bf! :noo: :noo:

Unfortunately, we ended up sitting in the first row, which meant that we couldn't read everything. My neck is still soar.

One word to describe the film: awesome. 9/10 from me and my bf.

Nice to see you again, prettyxcool.
