i thought the movie was lovely and found myself quite emotional. I loved the chemistry between Reese and Robert. I found him much more appealing in this than twilight. The animal beating wasn't pleasant viewing found myself looking away. The elephant played their part brilliant. Overall i'll give it 9/10

This sort of reminded me of Big Fish too! And I thought the story was great - surprisingly good, actually, considering I was skeptical about Robert Pattinson in such a role, but the cast pulled it off beautifully. I'll admit I almost cried for Rosie!! ;) I'm still trying to figure out how the 'dead' white horse kept so still! :P

Saw this at the Birmingham Empire this morning. It was much better than I expected and I really enjoyed it. The animal cruelty were not nice scenes but it all ended in a positive way. I loved Rosie!

Wasn't expecting much of this film but was pleasantly surprised. It had no twists or surprises so you could guess what was going to happen. Nice to have eye candy and will definitely appeal to rob pattinson fans! I loved Rosie, might have to go to the zoo! 7/10 from me
oh i was there too tilly!

out of the 3 screenings it was by far the busiest and the biggest screen and also the best crowd with lots of laughs and oohs and ahhs from the audience.

i'm totally smitten with this film i'm going to see it again on wednesday and p*y for it too :sealed:

Seen this in Wimbledon on Sunday, was almost late :red: I was pleasantly surprised. I went in expecting a boring, cliche drama that I wouldn't watch at all. Instead, I got an exceptional performance out of Cristoph Waltz, not surprisingly, and fairly good ones out of Pattinson and Witherspoon. A vibrant film that feels very much like an old Hollywood work but I was confused a good halfway through the movie as to whether or not Robert's character actually cared about Reese whatsoever, and eventually came to the conclusion "oh, i guess I misheard. They don't love eachother, they just share a similar passion for animals" (Loved Rosie by the way). Then I was way confused when Reese was back and forth conflicted with her feelings. Otherwise a great movie 7.5/10

Saw this on Sunday with OH in Whiteley's which was pretty packed. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be actually, like HopePrince says above, Cristoph shines through in this film (aside from Rosie of course). I thought Pattinson was OK, but Reese was terrible in my opinion, not very convincing and her character was a tease so I wasn't sure what to make of their supposed relationship or her attraction to Rob's character. Also, like many others I didn't realise he was studying to be a vet so that part came as a complete curveball to me. OH loved it, especially Rosie who stole the show. 7/10 from me, 8/10 from OH.

soonforgotten wrote:What a fantastic film. I loved it. Christopher Waltz was just spectacular. He's so good at being a total dick. This was the first Pattinson film I've seen and I thought he did a good job in the role. Reese Witherspoon was great (is she ever not?) and of course the elephant was wonderful. The abuse scenes were very difficult to watch, but then, that's the point. I thought this was all really well-done and would highly recommend this. 9/10
Couldn't have said it better! Loved this too! 9/10

i agree with that bit i found Reese unconvincing and found it hard to believe in her love for him i even said to my OH i thought a better leading lady would have boosted this film dramaticly, having said that all in all still well worth a watch and very pleasant ;)
