I'm happy with the result and FIFA's decision to ban him in the short term. I think a fine should have also been imposed as well.

They did fine him. Fine was a paltry 100,000 Swiss francs which was less than what they fined Bendtner for showing off his branded underwear some time back.

Personally, I think they should have banned him for longer, it's not his first offence.

I agree and what sickens me is seeing how people are defending him. He was given a hero's welcome when he landed back home. I'd have thrown rotten fruit!

Hope he loses all his sponsorships.

As a cricketer, I am more used to a more gentleman's sportsmanship behaviour so when I started to play five-a-side football league games, I was quite taken aback with the rather violent aggression of footballers on the field. There is something about the sport that incites an ugliness in sportsmanship and I hate it, yet at the same time I loved the thrill of the game and the pressure to score goals and in my case, to save them, as I was permanently put in goal after I started kicking players in the shins and heabutting them on the outfield...including my own players. Personally, I think they should have banned me, there is no place for that kind of behaviour in any sport ;)

Do you have a VR headset? If so, maybe we can play a physical sports game or even be sports/fitness partners, hit me up if you keen.
