Just spent all my voucher money in M&S, mostly on Christmas food, but also on some 50% off presents. Then forgot I had a £5 off voucher so had to go to Customer Services who refunded me my entire shopping then put it back on, minus the voucher. Then I b*ght a light up rattan reindeer for a tenner, reduced from £29.99. I love it. I'm ready for Christmas now.

The Manchester FMUKers have taken heed and myself, Steve, akh43 plus my DD and akh43's DD went in force to John Lewis this morning to participate in a pre Christmas hot chocolate and cake - being the healthy type I had a black coffee but a substantial slice of Victoria sandwich :shifty: it was surprisingly quiet in The Trafford Centre and a lovely way to spend a Sunday lunch good company and good cakes what more can a girl ask for? o/

A girl could ask for a piece of my roulade, some of DDs hot chocolate marshmellows ( oh thats right you didn't ask) AND the largest slice of Victoria sponge.
Beware of having a dig at my football team.

I'm sure a gentleman would offer, rather than waiting to be asked... in fact, he might even order something with no intention of consuming it himself but of passing it to a deserving female friend... having of course first checked what it was that he should order!

Exactly if there had been a gentleman present that might have happened. It appears that someone is a tad sensitive re their dodgy football team.

Having never claimed to being a gentleman and as there was no deserving female present (apologies to the ladies who were there) said female has also not come clean over Ms Thriftys' misundersting of my post so I will leave well enough alone.

In fairness to those present at the meeting, I'm sure it was actually an official part of the demanding and intensive planning process for a major forthcoming event; just that they got so caught up in the process that they forgot to say this. So not tea and cakes but an "off-site".

You know me so well and the theft of a piece of someone's roulade was just part of the demanding planning process and making sure it was delicious enough for "Said Gentleman". I dread to think which characters we are likened to in Coronation Street
