Michael Shannon's Zod was a loon. I sometimes think Shannon is only capable of playing neanderthal-like psychopaths. Stamp played the role with simultaneous menace and sophistication.

Shannon's second in command was far more intriguing.

The female? I thought she was great. Her character name is Faora-Ul

2D version is getting pulled from my local odeons next week. shame, I will have to see it in 3d now.

The 3D is a sham. It's blatantly 2D even in 3D.
