I do want to watch this but the tix are super expensive. And I hate circle area, watch other show from that block once, seeing the actors like tiny ants walking on stage. but stalls area was too much for my student allowance pocket. :noo:

Yeah they still are which sucks. I was lucky enough to get comp seats through a friend of mine who works in theatre the first time, and the second time he got us half price stalls seats.
Preferred cinemas:
Weekdays: Central London (all West End), West India Quay, Greenwich O2, Vue Islington
Weekends: Greenwich (O2, Odeon, PH), Vue Stratford City, Stratford PH

It's more of an off-West End show than a full-scale 1500 seater West End Show (although I thought it transferred quite well). It's probably more the subject matter). Maybe people prefer more Dirty Dancing than Enron.....

I don't think her mother has died - 12 hours ago this was posted:
Goldberg takes mind off mother's illness by shopping
http://sify.com/news/goldberg-takes-min ... hbdaa.html

And from the Sister Act website:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
After receiving the news that her mother has suffered from a severe stroke, Whoopi Goldberg has had to fly home today, Friday 27 August, to be with her family. The role of 'Mother Superior' will be played by Ms Goldberg's understudy until Thursday 2 September, when Sally Dexter will assume the role.
Ms Goldberg is very sorry not to be able to perform as planned and the thoughts and sincere best wishes of the Producers and the entire Sister Act Company are with her at this difficult time.
Sister Act continues its successful run at The London Palladium until Saturday 30th October 2010. Patrons who have booked to see Whoopi Goldberg who do not wish to attend the scheduled performance should refer back to their original point of sale.

Edited:
Well it just shows, sometimes, you can't believe what you read in the news:
Just saw on a tweet that she did lose her mother

I'm glad SFF is giving away tickets to see Design For Living this week. I grabed a pair for tomorrow. :D

Well done!
Word of warning again though, it's very very long and the first Act is quite "talky" but if you stick with it, you might really enjoy it

Thanx for the warning. I have a short attention span. Let's hope my brain doesn't switch off as it usually does, and I manage to p*y attention to what is being said. :D
